All our IMPROV FOR CAREER classes are taught by our experienced and highly-trained Corporate Improv facilitators. Some classes will also include leading experts in the field to lend their knowledge and insights.

IMPROV FOR PUBLIC SPEAKING

Communicating your ideas clearly and presenting them openly in a public forum is an essential component of success across several domains of life.

Learn your personal recipe to push past your trepidation so you can be more comfortable and confident sharing your thoughts in the workplace and other social settings.

This workshop will supply you with foundational improv tools which are then applied to speaking in public such as:

  • stay present & connected

  • pivoting

  • saying ‘Yes, And’ to yourself & the room

  • finding an authentic way for YOU to present

  • accessing ease & a clear mind

Discover the connection between leading brain science on speaking in public and the benefits of the Improv Mindset.

Understand your current strategies - conscious and unconscious - for dealing with stress and the uncertain. Then, create new strategies and experiences using improv to help you operate at a high bandwidth that allows you to be more at ease, confident, and present.

IMPROV FOR AUTHENTIC CONFIDENCE & LEADERSHIP

Confidence is something we ALL want to have and express. Despite all we know about it, developing an AUTHENTIC confidence can be elusive and challenging to accomplish.

Leadership is another trait that we value, yet developing it can also be difficult.

Yet, the combination of the two, we all know, can be a game-changer for our careers and our satisfaction with what we do.

The magic of improv is that both CONFIDENCE and LEADERSHIP are inherent in it. To understand improv is to understand the components of both — effective communication, ease with decision making, building a collaborative team, and being inspiring to all those around you.

THE IMPROV MINDSET FOR BUSINESS

This workshop gives an overview of ALL the ways improv can be that game-changer you have been looking for for your career! More present, engaged, confident, agile and positive.

Learn and experience the benefits that improv can bring you in accessing greater creativity, presenting in public with more ease, and discovering how a “YES, AND” mindset makes you a better collaborator and co-worker.

The 3-hour class will provide a sampling of our other classes as well: Improv for Public Speaking, Improv for Leadership, and Improv for Innovation.

  • Holly Mandel is the founder and Executive Director of Improvolution Improv School as well as its corporate education arm, Improvolution Corporate, in New York City (2002). She is The Groundlings Theater Main Company alum, and a professor at Pace University in Manhattan.

    Her degree is in both psychology and sociology (UCLA); she has studied organizational development, collective creativity and innovation, leadership development - for women especially - with Integral Philosophy, Holacracy, Spiral Dynamics, EpiEnergetics: The Optimal Energy States for Transformation, and Organizational Systems Theory.

    Holly has extensive experience in the corporate world, working at Disney Pictures, FX Networks, ABC Television and Comedy Central. She was also in advertising as a freelance writer/producer for many years.

    She has created a women’s leadership, confidence and creativity program, Good Girls Aren’t CEOs, presenting at places such as Ogilvy, Skadden, Princeton University, and The Grace Hopper Celebration/AnitaB.org Institute.

    Holly is a leading expert is translating improvisation for a myriad of purposes and in vast array of fields: business, women’s leadership, self development, gender, cultural roles & intersectionality, Executive Coaching, conflict resolution, and organizational health.

 

  • Michael is an acclaimed director, corporate workshop leader and public speaking coach. He works privately with performers and business professionals and at Fortune 500 companies such as Capital One, American Airlines, Mass Mutual and IBM.

    Michael utilizes empathic conversation, improvisation skills, performance technique and his background as a professional director to help people access their bravery, creativity and communication skills—taking their career and work life to the next level.
