Meet John...
Hey there improvolutionaries! Happy Wednesday! After introducing you all to Brooke, our newest intern last week, I realized that there are some other new faces at Improvolution that you may or may not know including team improvolution's Mr. Congeniality, John Galgano! I myself know and love me some Galgano, as we've played both in the classroom and on the stage. If you've been with Improvolution a while, you definitely recognize this guy as one of the friendliest and most supportive dudes there is. I was so stoked to learn of his new endeavor with us this year, that I just had to pass it on to all of our newsletter fans! Without further adieu, here's an announcement from Mr. G himself!
Hi everybody! First thing's first: The teachers at Improvolution are magical. During my Fundamentals of Improv class, taught by Rebecca Stuard and Casey Dunn, that is exactly how I thought of them. "They know some sort of secret and they are able to share it through improv. How amazing," I thought. Over the course of the next 12 weeks of that first class, I learned that the secret begins when you fully understand what the magic words "Yes AND..." mean.
That was almost four years ago. I now know for certain that ALL of the teachers at Improvolution are magical. Having been taught by, and/or been lucky enough to play alongside all of them, I can tell you for certain that not only can they teach you this magic, but once you learn it, you might be able to teach it to others yourself.
This is where I am now. After studying and performing with Improvolution for the last four years, I am honored and humbled to be able to share some of that magic with others. I am teaching my first Fundamentals of Improv class starting in March and I am 100% pumped to share the magic of Improvolution with you. Improvolution changed by life for the better - why not start to change yours now?
